Beihua University, referred to as Beihua for short, is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province. It is a full-time general institution of higher learning established by the people's government of Jilin Province, a provincial comprehensive key university, and a university established by the people's government of Jilin Province and the State Forestry and Grassland Bureau.

Approved by the Ministry of Education from 65438 to 0999, the school was formed by the merger of Jilin Normal University, Jilin Medical College, Jilin Forestry College and Jilin Electrification College.
