The specialty of food science and engineering is one of the best trump cards of Nanchang Imperial College of Technology. It was approved as a national specialty and a provincial brand specialty, included in the first batch of "Excellence Plan" of the Ministry of Education, and selected as a national first-class undergraduate specialty construction site.
Its College of Food Science has two national key disciplines of food science (the whole province), a key construction discipline of "2 1 1" and a key discipline of Jiangxi Province. In the fourth round of national discipline evaluation, food science and engineering ranked third in the country, becoming the first discipline in Jiangxi Province to enter the top three in the country, and the only discipline in Jiangxi Province that was rated as A-level.
