First, school profile:
1, the school was founded in 1948, Anshan Institute of Technology was founded in 1949, 1950 was changed to Anshan Branch of Northeast Institute of Technology, 1958 was upgraded to Anshan Iron and Steel Institute at undergraduate level, and 1998 was transferred to Liaoning Provincial Government by the Ministry of Metallurgy. Approved by the Ministry of Education, it was renamed Anshan University of Science and Technology in 2002 and Liaoning University of Science and Technology in 2006.
2. As of March 2023, the school covers an area of about 2,763 mu with a building area of 580,000 square meters. There are 19 colleges, 67 undergraduate majors, full-time teachers 1236, and full-time students15, including 20,373 undergraduates and 290,000 full-time master students. 1. As of September 30th, 20021,the library of Liaoning University of Science and Technology has a total paper collection of about 1836700 volumes, electronic books 16 1400 volumes, and 55 Chinese and foreign databases, including electronic books, electronic journals, dissertations and so on.
2. Journal of University of Science and Technology Liaoning was founded in September, 1978. It is a bimonthly comprehensive academic journal sponsored by University of Science and Technology Liaoning, and an excellent scientific and technological journal in Liaoning Province. Won the Excellence Award in the first CAJCD standard evaluation activity.
University of Science and Technology Liaoning is one of the metallurgical universities established earlier in China. It is a key construction university of first-class universities in Liaoning Province, a pilot university of credit system management in Liaoning Province and a pilot school of transformation and development in Liaoning Province. It has the right to expel graduate students and national university science parks. It is a multidisciplinary university focusing on engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law and art.
