China Ocean University China Ocean University, referred to as Haida or China Ocean University (OUC), formerly known as private Qingdao University, was founded in 1924, and was renamed China Ocean University in 2002. The school is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, and one of the key universities under the national "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project". Selected in 20 1 1 plan, 1 1 plan, Arctic University Alliance, Ocean University Alliance, the State Council. The first batch of pilot universities in China to reform the education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents and the education and training plan for outstanding engineers, ranked 33rd among mainland universities in the world, led by Qingdao National Laboratory of Marine Science and Technology.
