Chengdu Universiade is the 3rd/KLOC-0 Summer Universiade, which is the third summer Universiade in Chinese mainland and the first comprehensive world games in China. A total of about 10000 athletes and officials from 170 countries and regions came to Rong to participate in this grand event. The tournament is scheduled to be held in Chengdu, Sichuan, China from July 28th to August 8th, 2023.
The Chengdu Summer Universiade will include archery, gymnastics, track and field, badminton, basketball, diving, fencing, judo, rhythmic gymnastics, rowing, shooting, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, water polo and martial arts, with a total of 18 events, including compulsory events 15 events and 3 events of your choice.
Introduction to the preparatory work for Chengdu Universiade
1, Low-carbon Universiade
On June, 2023 1 1, the Universiade city publicity series conference introduced the low-carbon energy, low-carbon venues and low-carbon transportation of the Universiade. Of the 49 venues of the Universiade, 36 were upgraded from existing buildings, and 13 newly-built venues all reached the two-star standard of green buildings.
2. Venue construction
The Organizing Committee of Chengdu 20021World Summer Universiade has determined the configuration scheme of 5 1 venue and passed the evaluation of the International University Sports Federation. Among them, Dongan Lake Sports Center has been identified as the main stadium of the Universiade, which will undertake the opening and closing ceremonies, swimming and gymnastics competitions. Located in Chengdu University, the Universiade Village project officially started construction on April 1 20265438+8. It follows the planning and design concept of "openness, integration, green and wisdom" and relies on the existing campus of Chengdu University to carry out transformation and upgrading.
