1950 northeast institute of technology (Anshan branch), rebuilding Anshan engineering senior vocational school;

1952 Anshan engineering senior vocational school was renamed Anshan industrial technology school;

1953 Anshan industrial technology school was renamed Anshan iron and steel industrial school, 1953 Anshan iron and steel industrial school (part) was placed under Anshan No.2 iron and steel industrial school;

1953 Angang Amateur Technical University was established, and Angang Amateur Technical University was renamed Angang Night University;

1958 Angang Yeda, Anshan No.2 Iron and Steel Industry School, Anshan Veteran Cadres School and Anshan Amateur Iron and Steel Industry School were merged and upgraded to Anshan Iron and Steel Institute;

1962 Benxi iron and steel institute (part) and Liaoning metallurgical institute (part) merged into Anshan iron and steel institute;

1963 Anshan Iron and Steel College (part of the former Anshan Iron and Steel Night University) was transformed into Anshan Iron and Steel Night University, and has now developed into Anshan Iron and Steel Staff and Workers University;

From 65438 to 0969, seven metallurgical industries, including Anshan Iron and Steel Institute, Anshan Iron and Steel School, Anshan Metallurgical Transportation School and Anshan Iron and Steel Technical School, merged into Anshan Technical Secondary School to form Anshan Iron and Steel University.

1978 Anshan university of iron and steel was renamed Anshan institute of iron and steel;

1994 Anshan higher vocational college merged into Anshan iron and steel institute;

In August, 2000, Liaoning People's Armed School was formally registered.

In 2002, Liaoning Metallurgical Industry School, Liaoning Food Industry School and Liaoning Building Materials School were merged into Anshan University of Science and Technology;

In 2002, Anshan Iron and Steel Institute was renamed Anshan University of Science and Technology;

In 2006, Anshan University of Science and Technology was renamed Liaoning University of Science and Technology.
