Qingdao Textile Technical School, founded in 1950, experienced the running period of Qingdao Textile College and Shandong Textile Industry School, and was renamed Shandong Textile Institute of Technology in 1978.

Qingdao Normal University, founded in 195 1, experienced the running period of Qingdao Normal University and Qingdao Normal School, and was renamed Qingdao Normal University in 198 1.

1993, Qingdao University, Qingdao Medical College, Shandong Institute of Textile Technology and Qingdao Teachers College merged to form a new Qingdao University.
