Teaching Chinese as a foreign language, as its name implies, is to teach Chinese to people whose mother tongue is other languages. Also known as teaching Chinese as a foreign language or teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The corresponding majors train teachers of Chinese and China culture who have high foreign language literacy and can use foreign languages as working languages for colleges and universities, and train tour guides and translators for tourism and various foreign-related departments.

Professional training requirements: Students in this major mainly study the basic theories of linguistics and second language education, master the basic theories and knowledge of Chinese language and literature, receive basic training in China literature, comparative literature, English language and literature, and comparative culture between China and the West, master English skillfully, and have the basic ability to engage in language or cultural research.

Graduates should have the following knowledge and abilities:

1 Master the basic theory and knowledge of Chinese language and literature, and have a certain understanding of related social sciences, humanities and natural sciences;

Master the basic theories and methods of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and be able to conduct classroom and teaching;

Have the corresponding social investigation and research ability, certain creative thinking ability and the ability to engage in scientific research initially;

Have comprehensive English listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation skills;

Understand the relevant principles, policies and regulations of foreign exchanges, and have certain ability in foreign affairs activities;

Understand the theoretical frontier, application prospect and development trend of this discipline.

Main subjects: China language and literature, foreign languages and literature.

Main courses: basic English, English writing, English-Chinese translation, modern history of China, China literature, foreign literature, general theory of China culture, western culture and etiquette, foreign sinology research; Introduction to linguistics, introduction to teaching Chinese as a foreign language, etc.

Main practical teaching links: including visiting, social investigation, teaching practice, etc. Generally, it is arranged in about 8 weeks.
