In 2008, Chongqing Jiaotong University started the planning of the new campus, and the construction curtain was opened on 20 10. The construction of the new campus is divided into three phases, which is expected to be completed in 20 14 (actually, it is still the first phase in 20 17, the second phase in 20 16, and the civil works such as Zhiyuan Building will be completed in 20 18).
Because the new campus is located in Shuangfu Street, jiangjin district, Chongqing, close to Baffo Town, Jiulongpo and Area C of Jiulong Industrial Park, it is named Chongqing Jiaotong University Shuang Fu Campus.
The development of Shuang Fu Campus of Chongqing Jiaotong University mainly completes the teaching and education tasks of the first and second years of undergraduate education, and will become a modern campus with high level, distinctive features and mainly undergraduate education in the long run. Provide multi-level and multi-directional conditions for students' extracurricular activities, have basic supporting functions such as school buildings, campus infrastructure and service facilities, and create an open, information-based and ecological university campus with reasonable layout, complete facilities and beautiful environment.
