Pujiang College of Nanjing Tech University is a public and private secondary college approved by Jiangsu Province 1998. In May 2005, it became an independent college with the approval of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Education, and its education, teaching and student status management were brought under the unified management of Nanjing University of Technology. Three academicians of Nanjing University of Technology served as honorary presidents of the college.

A teaching committee composed of party secretaries, principals and experts from various professional colleges of Nanjing University of Technology was established. Teachers and management cadres are selected from the teachers and cadres of Nanjing University of Technology, and most of them are professors and associate professors. Based on the discipline foundation of Nanjing University of Technology, the college has set up nearly 40 majors, including computer science and technology, electronic information engineering, architecture, international economy and trade.
