1, Introduction
Guangdong Institute of Finance &; Economics), founded in 1983, was originally named Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, and 1985 was renamed Guangdong College of Commerce. On June 9, 2065438, approved by the Ministry of Education, Guangdong University of Finance and Economics was renamed "Guangdong University of Finance and Economics".
It is now jointly built by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Justice. It is an institution of higher learning featuring law and business, one of the key universities in Guangdong Province, and one of the designated universities in the "1+2+ 1 China-US Talent Training Program" of the Ministry of Education.
It is an undergraduate college of finance and economics with economy, management and law as the main body, and the coordinated development of economy, management, law, literature, science, engineering and art. It is a provincial key university, the first financial university in South China, an important training base and scientific research base for economic, management and legal talents in Guangdong and South China, and the first institution of higher learning in Chinese mainland with business and law as its teaching characteristics.
2. Teaching construction
As of September 20 14, the school has established 1 national innovative experimental zone of talent training mode, national experimental teaching demonstration center, national virtual simulation experimental teaching center, national college students' cultural quality education base and national practical teaching base, 5 national specialties, 1 national comprehensive professional reform pilot project and 1 national excellent courses.
It was selected as the first batch of excellent legal talents education and training bases in China, and the international collaborative education platform for applied accounting talents was approved as the first batch of collaborative education platform in Guangdong Province.
3. Discipline construction
By the end of 2065438+May 2008, three first-class disciplines, namely, applied economics, business administration and law, were provincial-level dominant key disciplines. Master's degree authorizes six first-level disciplines, including applied economics, business administration, law, management science and engineering, Marxist theory and statistics (covering 33 master's degree authorization two disciplines points).
The master's degree in English Language and Literature authorizes two disciplines and seven master's degree authorization points, including business administration (MBA), law (JM), finance (MF), insurance (MI), accounting (MPAcc), taxation (MT) and public administration (MPA).
