The Academy of Fine Arts has six internal institutions: Fine Arts Department, Art Design Department, Plastic Arts Department, Basic Teaching Department, Practice Teaching Department and Dunhuang Art Research Center.

There are six undergraduate majors (directions) including art, painting (direction of Chinese painting), painting (direction of oil painting), art design (direction of graphic design), art design (direction of environmental art design) and art design (direction of animation design).

There are three master's degree programs in fine arts, fine arts and art, including eight research directions: Chinese painting, oil painting, art history, art design theory, traditional art, art theory, Chinese painting and oil painting.
