What is a public elective general course?
Elective courses in universities are divided into professional courses and public courses. Public elective courses are free of charge in the whole school, usually starting at the end of a semester or the first week of school. General education courses are non-professional courses, such as general education in Zhejiang Normal University 1 and general education 2. General education 1 is a compulsory course for all students, such as Chinese, mathematics and English. General education 2 is an elective course for all students, including liberal arts and science. Liberal arts can choose science, and science can choose liberal arts.
