The School of Electrical Engineering of Shenyang University of Technology was established in 1972 on the basis of the radio department established in 1960, formerly known as the Department of Electrical Engineering. 1986 was renamed the Department of Electrical Engineering. 1999 was transformed into the School of Electrical Engineering. The college has three undergraduate majors: electrical engineering and its automation, automation and biomedical engineering, with more than 600 undergraduates/kloc-0. The college has three departments of electrical engineering, automation, electrical theory and biomedical engineering, and has a technical basic experiment center and a professional experiment center. It has Liaoning Key Laboratory of High Voltage, High Current and New Motor and Liaoning Key Laboratory of Special Motor and High Voltage Electrical Apparatus.
