Nanjing Forestry University is a provincial-level key university jointly established by the central and local governments, and the first batch of "double first-class" universities in China. The school was formerly the Forestry Department of Central University (founded in 1902) and the Forestry Department of Jinling University (founded in 19 10), and Nanjing Forestry College was merged in 1952, which was one of the only three forestry colleges in China at that time.
