Brief introduction of archaeology in Jilin University
Since its establishment, the Department has published textbooks and academic monographs 13, and published 280 academic papers at home and abroad. Many teachers were invited to the United States, Japan, Italy, South Korea and other countries to attend academic conferences and study tours, and many foreign scholars were also invited to give lectures in the department. Since 1994, seven undergraduates in our department have been recommended as graduate students and eight have been admitted as graduate students. Among the remaining students, 60% were assigned to work in cultural and cultural institutions above the provincial level, 73% worked in cultural and cultural institutions above the prefecture level, and 65% worked in coastal cities of provincial capitals. In order to further strengthen the cultivation of students' practical ability, our department currently has two large-scale field archaeological practice bases: the teaching base of the Three Gorges Cultural Relics Protection Project and the teaching base of Chifeng City, a large-scale site protection project in National Cultural Heritage Administration. 1996, our department was identified as the national "2 1 1 engineering" key construction discipline. 1994 The Department of Archaeology, the Department of History and the Institute of Ancient Books have been identified as the training bases for basic scientific research and teaching talents of liberal arts of the State Education Commission. Special policies shall be implemented for enrollment, training and distribution. Students graduate from bachelor-master-doctor system through training. Except for a few undergraduates who are assigned to practical work departments after graduation, most of them will directly enter the postgraduate stage. In addition to the scholarships granted by the school, students of the Department of Archaeology also set up scholarships for department friends to reward students with excellent academic performance. After graduation, students are mainly assigned to work in cultural relics and archaeology departments, institutions of higher learning, cultural institutions and relevant government administrative departments.
