The Historical Evolution of School of Literature and Journalism and Communication of Shandong University
In 1930s, Shandong University began to build a college of literature. In the early 1950s, the college was abolished and the Chinese Department was established. 1August, 996, the establishment of the Faculty of Arts with Chinese Department as the main body was resumed. In July 2000, after the establishment of New Shandong University, the College of Literature was renamed the College of Literature and Journalism.

The Chinese Department, the predecessor of the college, began to recruit graduate students in the 1950s. 198 1 the State Council resumed the degree system, and the first batch of master's and doctor's degrees were awarded by the college. 1997 was awarded the first-class discipline of doctor's degree, with 6 doctoral programs and 9 master's programs enrolling students. From 1994 to 1996, literature and art, China ancient literature, Chinese philology and China modern and contemporary literature have been successively rated as key disciplines in Shandong province. 1997, the discipline of Chinese language and literature as a whole was included in the "2 1 1 project" key discipline construction plan of Shandong University. From June 5438 to February 2000, the Research Center of Literary Aesthetics of Shandong University, which was established as a discipline of literature and art, was approved as the national key research base of humanities and social sciences in universities of the Ministry of Education. 200 1 1, our hospital was approved by the Ministry of Personnel to set up a postdoctoral mobile station. In 2004, the major of language and literature in China ranked fifth in the overall level evaluation of national disciplines.
