Anhui Engineering University is a provincial multi-disciplinary institution of higher learning and a key construction institution in Anhui Province. It is the first batch of pilot units for the construction of basic capacity-building projects in colleges and universities in the central and western regions and the pilot units for the comprehensive reform of colleges and universities in Anhui Province.

1984 approved by the state economic commission, China standardized management cadre college was established. It was jointly organized with Anhui Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering under the leadership of the former National Bureau of Standards. * * * It has also undertaken short-term training tasks for two-year cadres in junior colleges and single subjects, organized standardized teaching and scientific research activities, and started to recruit undergraduate students who study standardized subjects in junior colleges and double bachelor's degrees from 1985.
