How about Russian medical major?
Medicine has always been one of the most popular research fields for foreign students in Russia. How about Russian medical major? How many years does the school system last? Interested friends take a look at this article!

Russian medical professional education system

In Russia, basically all medical majors are expert academic system (it can be understood that our domestic undergraduate and postgraduate courses are continuous, but we can't give up halfway and can't directly study for a master's degree). For example, the academic system of stomatology is five years, and that of clinical medicine and pharmacy is six years. After graduation, you can get an expert diploma, which is equivalent to a master's degree in China, saving one or two years compared with studying in domestic medical colleges.

Application requirements of Russian medical specialty

You can apply directly after graduating from high school. Due to the different medical education systems and curriculum between China and Russia, Russian medical colleges do not recognize domestic medical diplomas, so Russian medical majors are not suitable for Russian medical students to become monks halfway, that is, they can't go to Russia to continue their master's degrees when they transfer to Russian medical majors during their college years, but are more suitable for high school graduates without professional academic background to apply directly.

For college entrance examination students this year, it is relatively difficult to apply for medical schools in Russian-speaking countries, and no Russian or English foundation or college entrance examination results are required. As long as you have a high school (technical secondary school) diploma and good grades in science and engineering, you can apply to enter the preparatory class of medical college. Pass the preparatory examination and enter the undergraduate major directly.

Curriculum design of Russian medical college

The main courses in pre-medical colleges are Russian, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and so on.

Number of students: Most preparatory classes are taught in small classes, usually 5-8 students in a class.

The main subjects of freshmen and sophomores are: Basic Principles and Microbiology, Human Anatomy, Biology and Medical Physics, Biohistology, Biochemistry, Human Physiology, etc. In the fourth and fifth semesters, the above courses also include: microbiology, pathological analysis, pathophysiology, general pharmacology, general surgery, prevention of internal diseases and other courses. After completing the basic microbiology study, students begin to study clinical courses, during which there are the following courses: surgery, internal diseases (internal medicine), neurological diseases, dermatology and venereology, and other courses.

Students of stomatology begin to study specialized courses in the fourth semester, such as oral surgery.

In short, undergraduate courses are mainly based on theory and practice, and theoretical courses are generally held in large classrooms and taught by professors or teachers with higher level. Because many knowledge points are in large classes, students need to pay great attention. The exercises are based on specific knowledge points, as well as problems and tests. Junior year began to contact clinical courses, mainly in hospitals, and then directly contacted patients. Therefore, for medical students, freshman to junior is hard, on the one hand, because of limited language ability, on the other hand, because they are all basic courses, abstract and boring.
