Supplement: Guangxi University of Science and Technology, located in Liuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is an authorized unit for bachelor's and master's degrees approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee. The school was approved by the Ministry of Education on April 20 18, 2003, and was formed by the merger of the former Guangxi Institute of Technology and the former Liuzhou Medical College. Guangxi Institute of Technology was founded in 1958, merged with Guangxi Institute of Light Industry, Guangxi Institute of Mechanical Industry and Guangxi Institute of Petrochemical Technology in 1982, and moved from Nanning to Liuzhou in 1985. Liuzhou Medical College was founded in 195 1, and was upgraded to Liuzhou Medical College with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2003.
