The Department of Packaging Engineering was established in 1984, and it was composed of teachers from mechanical disciplines, some materials disciplines and art disciplines of the former Department of Refrigeration Engineering. Undergraduate enrollment 1985 is one of the first five universities in China to enroll undergraduate students in packaging engineering. 1992 Newly added decoration design specialty. The School of Mechanical Engineering has a strong faculty with nearly 100 faculty members.
