I. History of running a school
The school was founded in 1920, and its name is Harbin Sino-Russian Industrial School. After the period of China-Russia University of Technology and East Special Zone University of Technology, it was officially named Harbin Institute of Technology on 1928.

There are 22 colleges (departments) under the school, offering 12 1 undergraduate majors. Its majors such as mechanical engineering, environmental science and engineering, control science and engineering are all trump cards of the school.

2. Scientific research achievements
Participated in 14 of 16 national major science and technology projects, such as the lunar exploration project, and made a number of significant landmark achievements in the fields of aerospace, robotics, small satellites, equipment manufacturing, new energy and new materials.
The first small satellite independently developed by universities in China was launched, and the satellite-ground laser link communication was realized for the first time in China, and the laser beam-target coupling guidance was realized for the first time. The first computer that can play chess and talk, the first radar with new system, the first arc welding robot and spot welding robot, and the first nano-satellite independently designed and developed by Chinese college students were born.
