In addition to several main venues, Fudan University Museum also has affiliated venues such as calligraphy and porcelain. Although the museum looks like an inconspicuous two-story building from a distance, it contains historical relics of human civilization. There are also a wide range of cultural relics.

The museum includes two fixed exhibition halls and two temporary exhibition halls, which are open to the public free of charge. The museum has more than 2,000 collections, donated by Henan Provincial Museum, Luoyang Cultural Relics Team, Shanghai Museum and other units, as well as the old collections of Fudan University Library, Wenbo College and Biology Department.

Museum fixed exhibition hall: Gaoshan cultural relics exhibition

These exhibits were collected by Professor Liu Xian from the Biology Department of Fudan University in the 1920s from the Gaoshan ethnic settlement in Taiwan Province. The exhibition selected more than 400 pieces of 100 from its collection, and combined with documents and pictures, it reflected the traditional customs and culture of Gaoshan nationality from many angles.

Exhibition of cultural relics teaching specimens

* * * Nearly 200 pieces of cultural relics such as copper, pottery, porcelain, stone, jade and bamboo were exhibited. This exhibition mainly serves the professional teaching of the Department of Culture and Arts.

Temporary exhibition hall of museum

These two temporary exhibition halls hold exhibitions of various collectibles or foreign art works. The exhibitions that have been held include Fudan University's more than 90-year history photo exhibition, Hong Kong University profile exhibition, Guizhou Nuo sculpture art exhibition, American abstract art exhibition, American Indian art exhibition, Japanese Kung Fu calligraphy exhibition and so on.

Fudan Museum of Ancient Ceramics collects and displays porcelain specimens from Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, including official kiln, Ru kiln, Ding kiln, Jun kiln, Yue kiln, Longquan kiln, Yaozhou kiln, Cizhou kiln, Xing kiln, Dehua kiln, Jingdezhen kiln, Jian kiln and Jizhou kiln, with rich information and complete system.

In terms of types, it involves various ancient art treasures such as ceramics and bronzes. Among them, the collection of ancient coins in the past dynasties is relatively systematic, and more than 300 pieces of Oracle Bone Inscriptions in the Shang Dynasty are also precious. There are also a number of famous contemporary China paintings and American abstract art paintings. Fudan University, in particular, has the largest number of Gaoshan folk cultural relics in Taiwan Province Province in Chinese mainland.
