Research on National Unity Reporting

Since the founding of New China more than 60 years ago, successive governments in China have attached great importance to the issue of national unity, and closely linked national unity with social stability as the overall situation of national work. While vigorously promoting the construction of socialist civilization, all kinds of news media also vigorously eulogize the new trend of common interests of all ethnic groups, expose and criticize the ugly acts of various ethnic infiltration and separatist forces that undermine national unity, and create a strong public opinion atmosphere to promote and develop the great unity of all ethnic groups. Reports of national unity have always been valued. With the development of economy and culture, the connotation of national unity is increasingly rich. The research on national unity report is carried out from two aspects: the theme framework and the generation of national consciousness, which fully embodies the promotion of national unity report to national consciousness.

China's attention to the consciousness of national unity first began at the end of the 20th century, and then the theory of national unity once became a research hotspot, which has continued to this day. The angle of attention also changes with the times. At the beginning of the 20th century, the society in China was in turmoil, which was put forward by Liang Qichao in A Study of Ethnic Issues in the History of China? What is the consciousness of national unity? "Consciously for me for him? This has become a definition of national unity consciousness, which is of great significance to the follow-up research. After the founding of New China, the Chinese nation realized the reunification of the motherland, and the focus of national unity consciousness changed to the connotation and essence of national unity consciousness. After the reform and opening-up, faced with complex internal national unity and complex external factors, the focus of national unity has changed to the essence of ethnic relations and ethnic issues.

Gong Yonghui believes that national consciousness is a spiritual consciousness transformed from national unity consciousness. In Interpretation of National Identity-Dialogue with Some Colleagues in Beijing [1], he expounded that national consciousness is the reason for social existence, and the dialectical relationship between national consciousness and society shows that national consciousness is the prerequisite for the existence of all groups. Similarly, Liao Yang and Weiguo Qin [2] went further. They believe that the consciousness of national unity is constructed by the special social relationship between groups in the process of the formation and continuous development of a nation, which is different from the social relationship between individuals because the premise of this social relationship is the universality of the consciousness of national unity.

At present, the relevant research results of national unity consciousness only focus on some concepts and theoretical systems, and there are few case studies on national consciousness. There are many nationalities in our country, and the social environment, population ratio and economic and cultural development are unbalanced. These problems have had a great influence on the consciousness of national unity. Therefore, with the continuous acceleration of the socialist process in China, more efforts have been made in national unity. All kinds of newspapers and periodicals vigorously promote the construction of national unity culture, aiming at establishing good public opinion and promoting the harmonious and stable development of socialism. Media can shape social cognition to a certain extent, and then affect the structure and form of society. However, how to establish a good social orientation through relevant national unity reports and achieve the purpose of stimulating the generation of national unity consciousness. To this end, this paper studies the national unity report as follows.

1. Theme and frame transformation of national unity report

National unity is one of the themes of socialism.

National unity is one of the characteristics of socialist ethnic relations in China [3]. The premise of national unity lies in national equality. Only when there is equality between countries can there be unity within countries. Among them, as long as there are the following two aspects in the national unity report, that is, unity between ethnic groups and within ethnic groups. With the abolition of policies related to racial discrimination, the principle of equality among ethnic groups has been realized. The party and the government have also used many means to eliminate ethnic prejudice and distrust, which has basically formed the sense of unity of all ethnic groups. In order to consolidate national unity, the leaders of the countries concerned have made speeches on national unity. Mao Zedong repeatedly stressed:? Bi Xun profoundly criticized the Han chauvinism thought in the eyes of many party member and cadres in our party, that is, the reactionary thought of the landlord class and the bourgeoisie on ethnic relations. Focus on opposing Han chauvinism. Local nationalism should also be opposed, but this is generally not the point. Han chauvinism and local nationalism are not conducive to the unity of people of all ethnic groups. ? And then what? The key to the problem is to overcome Han chauvinism? . These remarks have greatly promoted joint production between countries.

The issue of national unity is a national event, which is related to the rise and fall of the country. Mao Zedong once said: the unity of the country, the unity of the people and the unity of all ethnic groups in China are the basic guarantee for the success of our cause. ? Judging from the current form of national reunification, Chairman Mao's words have very profound practical significance.

National equality, unity, mutual assistance and harmony are interrelated [4]. Ethnic equality is the cornerstone of socialist ethnic relations, ethnic unity is the main line of socialist ethnic relations, ethnic mutual assistance is the guarantee of socialist ethnic relations, and ethnic harmony is the essence of socialist ethnic relations. Realizing the equality of all ethnic groups creates conditions for national unity and mutual assistance, which is the inevitable product of realizing national equality, while national harmony is the result of national equality and national unity and mutual assistance. The development of national unity and mutual assistance will inevitably further consolidate national equality, gradually eliminate the de facto inequality of all ethnic groups, and enable people of all ethnic groups to live in harmony, help each other and develop harmoniously.

1.2 Transformation between the theme and framework of the national unity report

News frame theory [5-6] was introduced into the field of news communication by news communicators inspired by Hoffman's social frame theory. The basic view of frame theory is that rules and regulations are the signs that people turn social reality into reappearance, that is, people's subjective interpretation and thinking structure of events. As the main channel of social reality, the media constructs a subjective environment by reporting news to achieve its preset goals. Therefore, the news framework is a process in which journalists use language or other symbols to reproduce social reality. News frame is an ideological structure established by the media for social events, that is, to characterize events. Is it? Choose and highlight things? The role of. Generally speaking, the framework has three internal structures: the high level defines the theme of the event (the event and the meaning expressed by the event); The middle level attributes and evaluates major events, past events, historical processes and consequences; Low-level language and other symbols express the essence of writing.

In the relevant reports on national unity, national unity has always been the core of relevant reports. The rational and orderly interaction of multiple information not only reflects the popularization demand of national unity consciousness, but also makes an in-depth analysis and report on national unity from different aspects through relevant information dissemination methods, so that the information receiving groups have a deeper understanding and understanding of the relevant reports on national unity through different sides and levels, and promotes the generation of national unity consciousness in the socialist core value system. Different from high-level national reports, intermediate reports pay more attention to establishing a framework of diversified information and change related topics. It has realized the transformation from a single reporting theme to a reporting framework.

Low-level: seeing the big picture from childhood, reporting national unity in the form of socialist humanistic care.

In order to gain the trust and recognition of the relevant public, the media need to report on national unity under the consciousness of the relevant public, so as to obtain the best public voice and promote the generation of reporting consciousness of socialist national unity. Ordinary people have the most contact with ordinary things, and national unity and harmony in daily life has become the main theme of national unity reports. Any simple people and things have risen to the angle and height of national unity, and the relevant reporting topics have been completely replaced. Small things, such as rescuing foreign patients and mutual care and help among foreign colleagues, are common in reports. But once such a trivial matter involves the issue of national unity, it can be written into the report of national unity and become a political framework. Obviously, national identity will also become the focus of newspapers and media reports, and it will be emphasized in the headlines. This way of reporting national unity has gradually become a habitual way of reporting, which can be seen everywhere.

2. Analysis of national consciousness in national unity reports

As a manifestation of ethnic relations, ethnic unity is essentially different from general social relations, and the social interaction between ethnic groups leads to the emergence and development of national consciousness. Therefore, from a certain social relationship, the trivia of mutual assistance between different ethnic groups has become the main form of national unity reporting. Therefore, many typical ethnic problems in news reports have been caused, and national unity has been sold out to guide them.

The mainstream social values actually only report the general social relations between different ethnic groups.

In the related propaganda mode of national unity, it is more common to hear that people of different nationalities have been rescued by different nationalities. Whether the related events can really reflect a national consciousness is not considered. Relevant reporters also said that the motivation of some good deeds is by no means because of the different nationalities of the targets. It can be seen that all relevant simple social reports are included? National unity? A big hat is obviously not suitable. Some simple things happen because of the immediate awareness of their own situation, rather than a deep understanding of national consciousness.

Whether the national consciousness interpretation and reporting of simple social relations by relevant news really helps to promote the generation of socialist national unity consciousness. As a result, the relevant reporting methods of news are gradually changing. Isn't it typical of the story between the same family? National unity? Intention mining features can't be posted? National unity? Big label, so the publicity is much smaller. What about this label type? National unity? What is the effect of the report?

The institutionalized reporting method of national unity will not only make the society curious about some abnormal events, but also slowly make readers' attention return to the reality of life from the relevant national unity. Ordinary people and ordinary things are the themes of daily life. This makes the related national unity report just a slogan, and normal social relations and social interaction are not the essence of national unity.

After the flood of reports on the consciousness of national unity, not only did the relevant public feel tired of reading, but also they got the thinking of relevant journalists, and the relevant reports gradually returned to the right track. However, a high-profile propaganda of national unity is not new, which makes the relevant reporters more headache for this report.

At present, the form of socialist national unity report seems to have gone beyond the original intention of national unity consciousness, deliberately highlighting the novelty and difference of national unity expression and deviating from the original intention of national unity report. The tearful report on the consciousness of national unity reflects the deviation in understanding the issue of national unity.

3. Concluding remarks

The theme of national unity lies in promoting the unity and coexistence of all ethnic groups in China, promoting the mutual love of people of all ethnic groups and the harmonious development of socialism. However, the gradual institutionalization of reports on socialist national unity is a misunderstanding and cognitive deviation of the concept of socialist national unity through simple social relations between some ethnic groups. The generation of national consciousness is the result of social relations between ethnic groups, not personal relations. Therefore, related national unity reports return to the original main line because of the theme of national unity.
