Can middle school students study college courses in advance?
A few days ago, a seminar on the pilot project of advanced course 20 17 of China University was held in Beijing. It is understood that the "China University Advanced Curriculum Pilot Project" has been launched in more than 1 10 middle schools nationwide. The China Education Association, which led the matter, said that this move can promote the education reform in middle schools and reflect "teaching students in accordance with their aptitude".

According to reports, the pre-university course is to let a group of "learning ability" middle school students get in touch with the learning content and learning methods of the university in advance. Through the unified examination, the results can be an important reference for independent enrollment in universities.

It is worth noting that this pilot project has aroused public concern about the alienation of quality education resources. Is that really the case? After consulting the data, the author found that this project was officially launched in Beijing on March 20 14. The purpose is to let high school students with learning ability get in touch with the contents of university courses as soon as possible, and receive the training of university thinking mode and learning method, so that students can really enjoy the education that suits their ability level and interest, and help them prepare for university study and even their future career. At the same time, it also plays a positive role in deepening the reform of high school education and teaching in China and promoting the innovation of talent training mode.

This idea is good, but in practice, it is not easy to ensure the rational allocation of resources. For example, the middle schools in the list of participating projects are almost all top schools in their provinces and regions, and the regional differences are also great. There are 1 1 schools in Beijing, including Middle School Attached to Renmin University, Middle School Attached to Tsinghua University and Beijing No.4 Middle School, but there are only three in Anhui, two in Hunan and 1 schools in Gansu, and nearly half of the provinces and regions are not included in this project list.

Perhaps this is because the project has just started and needs enough time to expand the scale of the project, but only from the existing participation, the differences between regions and schools have become obvious.

This, of course, is what educators and followers do not want to see. If the new educational reform and innovation can't contribute to educational equity, or even become a new means of "elite education", more people will fall behind in the new round of adjustment and become victims of the so-called "reform".

It is not difficult to be sure that the pre-university course has the function of "training in advance" for those children who have the spare capacity to study, but such students are only a few after all, and for more people, such courses are not of great guiding significance.

According to the report, the results of this prerequisite course "can be used as an important reference for independent enrollment of universities". This is the crux of the problem. If we can't guarantee the fairness, justice, transparency and openness of pre-class assessment and self-enrollment process, it will not only damage the rational distribution of educational resources, but also make it the "focus" of privilege and become a channel for individuals to abuse power for personal gain.

Therefore, similar to the fairness of self-enrollment, it is necessary to ensure the timely, open and transparent information of pre-courses Moreover, while carrying out advanced curriculum projects, we should try our best to ensure that schools in economically backward provinces can participate in them, and tilt towards areas with scarce educational resources in some special projects.

At the same time, even in the same province and city, we should not only let "top schools" participate, but also give special support to those schools with educational potential and give them the opportunity to enter the "elite project". For example, the allocation of participation places is not simply based on the scale of economic or educational development, but can be judged according to the population of this province or the number of college entrance examinations this year. This process may require complicated work, but it will benefit more students and make the preparatory course more credible.

Education in advance. Kindergarten goes to primary school, and primary school goes to junior high school, junior high school and high school university. Which university wants to study as a graduate student, and does that graduate study as a doctor? What is the significance of such early education?
