Shenzhen University, referred to as Shenda for short, is located in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, Guangdong Province, China. It is a comprehensive university approved by the Ministry of Education, in charge of Guangdong Province and sponsored by Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. Selected as a key construction university of high-level universities in Guangdong Province, with the qualification of recommending graduate students without examination.

Shenzhen University was established on 1983 with the approval of the State Council. The central government, the Ministry of Education and local governments all attach great importance to the construction of universities in the SAR. Peking University aided China and foreign countries, Tsinghua aided electronics and architecture, and the National People's Congress aided economy and law. /KLOC-0 passed the first batch of national undergraduate teaching qualification assessment in 1995, and/KLOC-0 was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee in 1996 to become a master's degree awarding unit. In 2006, it was approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee as a doctoral degree awarding unit.
