The school adheres to the discipline construction concept of "selecting the best" and establishes a good discipline ecological environment. There are 18 colleges (departments), among which:

Food College, Bioengineering College, Textile and Clothing College, Chemistry and Materials Engineering College, Internet of Things Engineering College, Environment and Civil Engineering College, Business School, Science College, Mechanical Engineering College, Design College, Pharmacy College, Medical College, Marxism College, Humanities College, Foreign Languages College, Law School, Digital Media College, Sports Department. It covers science, engineering, medicine, literature, law, economics, management, teaching, arts and so on 10.

At present, there are 7 postdoctoral mobile stations, 7 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degree, 29 first-class disciplines authorized by master degree and 14 disciplines authorized by master degree, including food science and engineering, light industry technology and engineering, textile science and engineering, control science and engineering, chemical engineering and technology, design science and environmental science and engineering.

Light industry technology and engineering, food science and engineering were selected into the list of "double first-class" construction disciplines;

Food science and engineering is a national first-class key discipline 1 discipline, and there are 5 second-class key disciplines;

There are four approved disciplines for the construction of dominant disciplines in Jiangsu universities, including design, control science and engineering, chemical engineering and technology, textile science and engineering, and three key disciplines in Jiangsu Province during the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan period, including chemical engineering and technology, design science and computer science and technology.
