Southern Medical University, formerly known as the First Military Medical University of Chinese People's Liberation Army, was founded in 195 1, 1979 and was designated as a national key university. In August 2004, it was transferred to Guangdong Province as a whole and renamed Southern Medical University. High-level universities in Guangdong Province are the only medical colleges among the key construction universities, and the first batch of universities in China and the only "ministries and provinces" in Guangdong (Ministry of Education, National Health and Wellness Commission, Guangdong Province) have been built.

It is compiled at the deputy corps level and is a pilot university of "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Plan".
4. PLA Air Force Military Medical University
Referred to as "Air Force Military Medical University" and "Four Major Medical Universities", located in Xi 'an, the ancient capital, it is a key comprehensive medical university directly under the Air Force of China People's Liberation Army, a national key construction institution of "2 1 10 Project" and a pilot university of "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Plan".
Fifth Military Medical University
Formerly known as the National Central University Medical College, it was formed by the merger of the Fourth Military Medical University and the Fifth Military Medical University. The campus is in Xi 'an. Founded in 1935, it has a large number of famous educators and doctors and trained many high-level medical talents. It has been renamed Nanjing University Medical College, Military Medical College of East China Military Region, Third Military Medical College and Fifth Military Medical University.
