1960 At the beginning of the year, Luwan District Staff Amateur Industrial College, the predecessor of Shanghai Luwan District Amateur University, was born. In the early days, all the teaching staff overcame various difficulties and trained the first batch of college graduates. After the turmoil in 10 1966- 1976, the upsurge of learning cultural and scientific knowledge reappeared in society. The school has entered a new era of amateur higher education development after resuming the enrollment of adult college entrance examination on 1977. 1In March, 1978, the school was renamed as Luwan District Amateur Technical College.1In July, 1979, it merged with Luwan District Amateur Teacher Training School and was officially named as Luwan District Amateur University.
