Simple English Conversations of Three College Students
Jack: Hi, Tom and Mike! I heard that you two went on separate trips in summer. Can you talk about the amazing things in the trip alone?

Tom: Well, I'll tell you first. In summer, I drove to the Gobi Desert in Mongolia with two friends. In spite of the hot weather, we still had a good time. When we were walking in the desert, a wolf suddenly came into our sight. We were too scared to move and stared at it. The wolf looked at us for a while and then left.

Jack: You are really lucky. Mike, your turn.

Mike: OK. This summer, my family and I traveled to Qingdao. The beautiful sea there left a good impression on me. However, when we were fishing on the boat, an unpleasant thing happened. My father accidentally dropped his mobile phone into the sea. It was so deep that we couldn't get it out in the end. This is a regrettable thing!

Tom: Mike did. It's Jack's turn to speak.

Mike: Yes, that's true. Jack, did you also travel in summer?

Jack: Of course I went. I went hiking in the mountains with my college classmates in summer. One of my classmates sprained his ankle badly because of a fall. He can't walk. So we have to take turns carrying him. Fortunately, we got help from the local villagers.

Mike: There are good people everywhere in this world.

Tom: You're right! We should learn from these good people and become good people.

Jack and Mike: Good point!
