The major of safety engineering in Jiangxi University of Science and Technology is a characteristic major in Jiangxi Province. The teaching teams of mining engineering, mineral processing engineering and safety engineering are teaching teams in Jiangxi Province. This major has the right to award master's degree in engineering and is one of the demonstration master's programs in Jiangxi Province. Safety engineering mainly studies the basic knowledge and skills of disaster prevention technology, safety principle, safety monitoring and safety system engineering in mines, underground buildings and above-ground buildings, and is mostly used for outdoor work, safety evaluation and risk assessment before construction, safety management and safety education in construction site, and treatment of industrial accidents after accidents such as collapse, explosion and fire.
