First, about the choice of postgraduate schools and majors

1. Reason for choosing: volunteering to apply for the botany major of Beijing Forestry University. There are two main reasons for choosing Beijing Forestry University: First, although Beijing Forestry University is located in the northwest and its geographical position is not dominant, it is a strong 985 university with higher cost performance than other 985 universities. Second, my home is in Gansu, and the spirit of Beijing Forestry University "Although our school is thin, it will make China fat" is desirable! As for why botany is chosen, firstly, because Beijing Forestry University is an old and strong major, the strongest botany textbook in China is compiled by Beijing Forestry University. Second, in the biology discipline of Beijing Forestry University, there are a large number of botany students, a high enrollment ratio and little competitive pressure.

2. Analysis on the situation of botanical journals of Beijing Forestry University and the difficulty of postgraduate entrance examination: Botany is the trump card major of the School of Biology of Beijing Forestry University. About 100 students apply for the exam every year, and 30 to 40 students go ashore, and the enrollment ratio is close to 3: 1. Botany examination subjects are English 1, politics, cell biology and molecular biology. The initial test score is generally around 365,438+00, requiring political English score greater than 45 and professional course score greater than 90.

3. Changes in the difficulty of postgraduate entrance examination in colleges and universities: Beijing Forestry University does not divide the biological postgraduate entrance examination. After 20 17, the specialized courses of botany have been molecular biology (Zhu Yuxian edition) and cell biology (Zhai Zhonghe edition), and there will be a lot of original questions in previous years. A) Calligraphy: My calligraphy is based on Zhu Wei's love and practice of calligraphy. In this book, 5500 high-frequency words for postgraduate entrance examination are divided into 30 units, and there will be examples of real questions under each word. The words formally listed in the previous unit will appear in another example of real questions in the latter unit, so that they can be memorized repeatedly and with high efficiency. Low-frequency words for postgraduate entrance examination are included in the secondary page, and you can choose your memory according to your personal progress.

B) Method: Because of my poor foundation, I can't keep up with the video class directly, so I translate all the unknown words in advance before each class, then listen to the class and recite them again after listening.

C) Time span: From early March to mid-April, I read the whole book and recited it for the first time. In the next few months, I will spare some time to recite words every day, from March to September for an hour or two, and after September for dozens of minutes. Then as time goes on, I will gradually reduce the time for memorizing words and leave the time for other subjects.

(2) Grammar and long and difficult sentences

A) Use books: Mr. Jing Tian's books are very suitable for people with poor foundation. This book begins with the most basic grammar and ends with all the grammar knowledge in the postgraduate entrance examination. It is definitely the most detailed book on English grammar for postgraduate entrance examination. Before the postgraduate entrance examination, English grammar was a mess, and the subject, predicate and object in a sentence were all confused. But after watching the video lesson, I can clearly draw all the sentences of English for postgraduate entrance examination. This book suggests starting after the first word or in the middle of the word, which is April.

B) Method: First, follow the video class, take notes, read the book carefully, and try the sentence structure with the methods in the book. Then the most important thing is to copy down the sentences that you can't understand when you do the real questions, analyze the structure, compare the answers with the grammar knowledge in the book, and then finish five or six sets of grammar for the real questions.

(3) True questions

A) book: the truth of postgraduate entrance examination. The answer is very detailed, especially the reading comprehension part. The answer to each question has a reasoning method, and all sentences have a grammatical analysis, which can be used with grammar books.

B) method: reading comprehension: do it slowly in the early stage. It will take me about two or three days to do a reading comprehension at first. I have to write down the words and grammar I can't understand, find out why I chose this answer, and know where the other answers are wrong. English reading comprehension in the postgraduate entrance examination accounts for 40 points, and the reader wins the world, so you should read thoroughly every time, not fast, but steady. Then gradually speed up, so that the real questions in 2008 are basically one or two a day. Do it around 20 15, and start doing the real question for the second time to see if the mistakes made before will be repeated. If you do it quickly and find the answer to the real question impressive, you can make a new one and an old one every day. Do real questions repeatedly before the postgraduate entrance examination. You may not have time for a week or two before the exam, so spend some time reading the real questions.

I started doing it more than a month before the exam. The method is the same as reading comprehension. First, I do the questions and answer them. (1) Reference books: Xiao Ba, Xiao Si, Xiao Xiurong 1000, Xu Tao and Xu Tao watching the video class are lively and interesting, easy to understand, especially the part of Ma Zhe, which is simply amazing. Politics can start later. It started in October. Every night, I come back from the library to watch video lessons, and then do "Xiao Xiurong 1000", which is made with a pencil, followed by two brushes. I can erase the answer after three strokes.

(2) Review progress: If time is tight, you can only watch the part of Ma Zhe in the video class, and personally feel that it has no effect. The main thing is to wait for Xiao Ba to come out and understand all the multiple-choice questions inside. Then when Xiao Si came out, he recited Xiao Si, and both multiple-choice questions and essay questions were memorized. At that time, there will be many concise versions of Xiao Si's essay questions, which are easier to recite.

3. Professional courses

(1) Cell Biology

A) Books: Cell Biology Zhai Zhonghe Edition, Cell Biology Review Outline and Problem Solving Zhang Jingbo Edition, Cell Biology Learning Guide Wang Xizhong Edition.

B) Advantages and disadvantages: Most of the designated books for cell postgraduate entrance examination in colleges and universities are Zhai Zhonghe's version, which is very comprehensive, systematic and organized. If you don't understand it in the early stage, you can search for "cell biology" in the mile. Sichuan University has excellent courses, but they are very shallow. There are also more in-depth recorded versions. If you don't know them at all, you can go and see them, which is easy to understand, but don't treat them as business every day. After all, you can't remember them all, and endorsement is the most efficient.

Zhang Jingbo's version was published in Tsinghua University, but it seems to be out of print at present, and all the materials sold are photocopies. The advantage of this material is that there is a detailed summary of knowledge points and explanations of terms before each chapter, and the topics behind each chapter are also the kind that many colleges and universities especially like to take part in the postgraduate entrance examination. Generally speaking, it is especially suitable for postgraduate entrance examination.

The disadvantage is that it is a photocopied version after all, with some mistakes, and then some sentences are not very standardized. Moreover, because it was written earlier, the latest edition that can be sold now is the second edition, which was published in 2008, so the content is not novel enough, and there are no experimental and innovative problems. Nowadays, with the increase of the number of postgraduate students, many popular postgraduate colleges have increased the scores of innovative questions and experimental questions.

Wang Xizhong edition just makes up for these shortcomings. We can feel that the language of the whole book has been carved and standardized, and then each chapter's exercises have innovative and experimental questions, which is the kind that some popular postgraduate colleges love. So these two materials must be used together.

C) Methods: I started reading cells in June, and I read them for the first time in August, but I can't remember most of the contents in the book. From mid-August to1early October, when I recited it for the second time, I was very flustered, because I couldn't remember some simple noun explanations and main contents clearly. I only knew that there was such a thing, and my impression was very vague. 1After reciting for the second time from mid-October to late October, the reciting speed is obviously faster. After this time, the main contents are known. Noun explanations can be described in their own language, but the language is obviously not standardized. 1 1 from the end of the month to a few days before the postgraduate entrance examination, I just finished the third exam. This time, I recited the answers to the real questions summarized before and learned what the real questions in each chapter would produce. Combining the two materials, it passes quickly, basically one chapter a day. After the third time, I feel that all the contents are familiar, which is the feeling of reading a thin book.

(2) Molecular biology

A) Bibliography: The reference book is the fifth edition of Molecular Biology by Zhu Yuxian (it must be genuine, colorful and easy to understand). The data is Dai's Fine Solution of Molecular Biology, Edition.

Advantages and disadvantages: The advantage of Zhu Yuxian's version of molecules is that the content is particularly comprehensive, covering almost all the contents of molecular biology. Besides the contents of other biomolecular books, there are two chapters on molecular experimental techniques. Because of this, most molecular textbooks and reference books used by domestic universities are Zhu Yuxian's versions. The disadvantage is that the knowledge points are too miscellaneous and chaotic, and some contents are inconsistent, so it is difficult to recite and understand, and it takes a lot of time to sort out the knowledge points.

B) method: recite. If you really don't know anything, you can search for a matching video class, but it is very old and the picture quality is worrying, and some contents are not completely consistent with the book. The first round of review began in September, and the first round basically ended in the middle of 10. After reciting it for the first time, I was still very vague about the content of the book. 1mid-October to 1 1 mid-October. (3) Professional course experience

If you don't take the math test, it is absolutely the most important to get 300 points in two professional courses. Basically, the average person who takes the postgraduate entrance examination is more than 60 points, and the gap in English scores will not be very big, but the results of professional courses can really open a big gap, and you must reach a high score. In fact, it is not difficult for graduate courses to give questions, and it will not become a fancy exam like the college entrance examination. The main reason for the difficulty is that the book is too thick and there are too many knowledge points, which need to be recited and memorized repeatedly.

Since September, I have basically asked myself to recite for eight hours every day. There are six hours, although there are not eight hours in most cases. Even so, a month before the postgraduate entrance examination, I still looked puzzled and anxious, and I deeply doubted myself. And every time a new round of review begins, I feel that I have forgotten all the previous contents, and I will wonder if I have done nothing and have no brains. But in fact, this is a process of accumulation, and every time it is passed, it is a qualitative improvement. Don't worry.

Then, pay attention to the proportion of professional course scores. The noun explanation score is relatively small, and the short answer score is high. Therefore, it is recommended to bring one or two noun explanations when doing the questions, and then make short answers directly. Jane's answer is over. If you have time, go back to the front to supplement. In fact, my professional courses have not reached the expected value this year. Mainly, I wrote a lot of noun explanations when I took the first professional class, and I wrote down everything I knew. As a result, there was not enough time, and the short answer was scribbled, and the short answer was not finished, and many points were lost. Finally, the review time of my professional courses is a little late. Although I just finished reviewing three times before the postgraduate entrance examination, I actually compressed a lot of English and political time, and I was very nervous for a week or two before the exam.

Fourth, some personal feelings about the postgraduate entrance examination
