Brief introduction of Henan Polytechnic University:

Henan Polytechnic University, located in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, is the first mining institution of higher learning in China, the earliest established institution of higher learning in Henan Province and a key university in Henan Province. It has been selected into the national "Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities" and "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", and is an excellent school for undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Ministry of Education.

The predecessor of the school is Jiaozuo Road and Mine School, which was founded by British Fu Company on 1909. After Henan Fuzhong Mining School, Fuzhong Mining Institute, Fuzhong Mining University, private Jiaozuo Institute of Technology, Northwest Institute of Technology, National Jiaozuo Institute of Technology, Jiaozuo Mining Institute and other historical periods, the name of Jiaozuo Institute of Technology was restored on 1995, and it was renamed Henan Polytechnic University in 2004. After 2002, he was awarded the right of doctoral degree and was selected as a key construction university in the province.

As of May 20 17, the school covers an area of 4 100 mu, with a building area of1400,000 square meters, and the total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment is nearly 525 million yuan.
