Tao, male, 1943, born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, researcher. His main academic expertise is the history of Sino-US relations, and he is now engaged in the study of the history of modern Sino-foreign relations. 1964 graduated from the Foreign Languages Department of Hangzhou University (1998 merged into Zhejiang University) and entered the Institute of Modern History of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences of China Academy of Sciences (predecessor of China Academy of Social Sciences). 1994, worked in American society, and served as deputy director and secretary general of American China society.
