1, Ningbo University has achieved a comprehensive breakthrough in the three national science and technology awards and the first prize of the national teaching achievement award, the level of running a school has been rapidly improved, and the constraints on running a school have been effectively solved, laying a solid foundation for building a world-class discipline;

In order to serve the national "maritime power" and "One Belt, One Road" initiative and the construction of Zhejiang and Ningbo marine economic development demonstration zones, Ningbo University, on the basis of mechanics, selected aquatic products, information and communication with comparative advantages and established a discipline group of "marine biotechnology and marine engineering". Focusing on the four application fields of "marine mechanics and offshore environmental engineering", "marine engineering structure and equipment", "breeding and high-value utilization of marine living resources" and "marine information communication", aiming at building a world-class marine-related discipline group and cultivating first-class marine-related talents, we will promote the overall development of the school and accelerate the transformation from a teaching and research university to a research university;

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Education, Ningbo University has formulated the "Planning for the Construction of Universities with First-class Subjects", which has been successfully compiled after expert argumentation, examination by competent departments and consultation by expert committees.
