Taizhou Institute of Science and Technology of Nanjing University of Science and Technology was established in June 2004. With the approval of the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, the first batch of national key construction institutions of "2 1 1 Project", and Taizhou Municipal People's Government jointly organized it to train full-time undergraduate students.

The school is located in the main urban area of Taizhou, which is known as "the ancient county of Han and Tang Dynasties and the famous area of Huaihai", covering an area of 1003 mu and a school building of 300,000 square meters. The campus layout is full of Shu Lang, modern atmosphere, advanced teaching facilities and complete living facilities.

There are 8 experimental centers in the school, and 1 1 national, provincial and municipal key laboratories have been built in cooperation with "government, schools and enterprises".
