Zhang Weiwei graduated from the Foreign Languages Department of Fudan University and received her master's and doctor's degrees in international relations from Geneva University. He is a visiting scholar at Oxford University in England. At present, he is the director of China Development Model Research Center of Fudan University, a senior researcher at the Spring and Autumn Institute, the director of the World China Institute of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, a visiting professor at the School of Diplomacy and International Relations in Geneva, Switzerland, and a senior researcher at the Asian Studies Center in Geneva. In the mid-1980s, he worked as an English interpreter for Deng Xiaoping and other China leaders and visited more than 65,438,000 countries.
He used to be a professor of international relations at Webster University in Geneva, USA, and now he is a professor at the School of Diplomacy and International Relations in Geneva, a senior researcher at the Asian Studies Center of Geneva University, a columnist and expert at People's Daily and Observer Network, the director of the distinguished professor and China Development Model Research Center of Fudan University, and a senior researcher at the Spring and Autumn Institute.
