Li Yongsen (1898~ 1998) was born in Changshu, Jiangsu. 13 (1924) graduated from Suzhou Academy of Fine Arts. After that, I worked in Shanghai all my life. From the 1920s to 1950s, he was the editor-in-chief of Pacific Pictorial, the art designer of China Chemical Industry Society, the professor of pattern department of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, and the vice president of Suzhou Academy of Fine Arts. 1953, head of the art design group of the daily chemical company of Shanghai Light Industry Bureau, professor of Shanghai Institute of Light Industry, professor of Tongji University and professor of the newly established Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. Member of China Artists Association, director of Shanghai Branch of China Artists Association, and librarian of Shanghai Literature and History Research Institute. Participated in the establishment of Shanghai Watercolor Research Association and Shanghai Pastel Painting Society, and served as honorary presidents respectively. He is good at watercolor painting, and his style is realistic and freehand. He is also good at industrial and commercial art design and pastel painting. 1988, he and his wife Shao held a two-person art exhibition in Shanghai Art Museum, and obtained a certificate from Shanghai Cultural Bureau to donate some of the exhibited works to the Art Museum.
