Knowledge expansion:
Zunyi Medical College is the first medical undergraduate college founded by the Communist Party of China (CPC) after the victory of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. It is a pilot university established by the National Health and Wellness Committee and the People's Government of Guizhou Province, and a first-class discipline construction university in Guizhou Province. It has been selected as a basic capacity-building project for universities in the central and western regions.
The school was founded in 1947, formerly known as Kanto Medical College. 1949 Kanto Medical College was merged into Dalian University and renamed Dalian University Medical College.
1950 Dalian University was abolished and Dalian Medical College became independent. 1969, in order to support the "third-line construction", the school moved south to Zunyi and changed its name to Zunyi Medical College. 20 18 was renamed Zunyi Medical College.
As of March 2023, the school has three campuses, namely Xinpu Campus, Dalian Road Campus and Zhuhai Campus, covering an area of 25 15 mu, with a building area of 780,000 square meters, with a collection of more than 2.04 million books and e-books of 1.33 million.
At present, there are 29 teaching departments, 5 directly affiliated hospitals and 6 non-directly affiliated hospitals, offering 33 undergraduate programs, 1 doctoral program, 8 first-class master programs, 43 two disciplines master programs and 6 master degree programs. There are more than 26,000 full-time students and faculty members 10559.

By March, 2023, there will be 1 authorized points for doctoral degrees in clinical medicine, 8 authorized points for master's degrees in first-class disciplines, 43 authorized points for master's degrees in two disciplines and 6 authorized points for professional master's degrees. Postgraduate education covers four disciplines: medicine, science, engineering and law.
