Introduction to Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1958, formerly known as Tianjin College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2005, it was renamed Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 20 17, the school was listed in the national list of "double-first-class" construction universities, and Chinese medicine was selected as the national "double-first-class" construction discipline. 20 18, the school moved to the new campus of Tuanbo Lake in Jinghai. The school was shortlisted among the universities established by the Ministry of Education, state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Tianjin Municipal Government. The school is the only China International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine approved by the former State Education Commission, and is the chairman of the Education Steering Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.
The new campus of the school is located at Tuanbo Lake in Jinghai District, Tianjin, covering an area of more than 2,600 mu and a construction area of more than 600,000 square meters. The campus is characterized by lake landscape, traditional Chinese medicine vegetation and traditional Chinese medicine culture. It is the largest Chinese medicine botanical garden, the most advanced Chinese medicine science and technology park and an international education center of Chinese medicine with international influence in China.
There are nearly 9,000 undergraduates, 4,000 postgraduates and more than 2,000 international students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The whole school (including affiliated hospitals) has 3,700 faculty members. At present, there are 3 academicians of China Academy of Engineering (of whom 1 is part-time), 2 masters of traditional Chinese medicine and 3 Chinese medicine practitioners, and a number of high-level talents such as national leading talents, national "*" teaching masters, "*" award program distinguished professor, and winners of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. There are 3 innovation teams in the Ministry of Education and 3 innovation teams in the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The school has six disciplines, with Chinese medicine as the main body, and the coordinated development of medicine, science, literature, management, engineering and teaching. There are 28 undergraduate majors, including 3 national specialties, 19 municipal key construction majors. It has two national key disciplines: internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture and massage, 23 key disciplines in state administration of traditional chinese medicine, 9 key disciplines in the 13th Five-Year Plan of Tianjin, 2 first-class disciplines in Tianjin and 3 dominant disciplines. It has three post-doctoral research stations of TCM, TCM and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, three first-level disciplines of TCM, TCM and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, 16 two disciplines doctor's degree authorization points, 1 TCM doctor's degree authorization points, 6 first-level disciplines master's degree authorization points, 26 two disciplines master's degree authorization points and 5 master's degree authorization points. In the fourth round of subject evaluation by the Ministry of Education, Chinese pharmacy A-, Chinese pharmacy and integrated Chinese and western medicine B+; Pharmacology and toxicology, before clinical medicine entered ESI 1%.
