Xihua university, referred to as Xihua for short, is headquartered in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Founded in 1960 as Sichuan Agricultural Machinery College, it was later renamed Chengdu Agricultural Machinery College. 1978 is listed as a provincial key university in Sichuan province. 1983 was renamed Sichuan Institute of Technology. In 2003, it merged with chengdu normal university to form xihua university.

Xihua university is a key university in Sichuan Province.
