Henan University, referred to as "Heda University" for short, is a university jointly founded by the people's government of Henan Province, the people of China and the Ministry of Education. It is a national "double-class" university, and has been selected into the national "11plan", the basic capacity building project of central and western universities, the excellent doctoral education and training plan, and the excellent legal talent plan.

In July 2022, it was learned from official website of Henan University that Henan University had upgraded and improved its existing school emblem. Optimize the seal script "He Da" in the center of the school emblem (although you have to read it from right to left, I believe many people will read it as "Dahe"). The "Henan University" around the circle was changed from the previous black body to a round larva, and the outer blue circle was changed from a single line to a double line.
