Centennial of the Balkans: Jin Chongyuan Fudan University Press, published in August 1, 2065438.

Content abstract: The Balkan Peninsula is located in the southeast of Europe, with dangerous terrain, which blocks the traffic arteries of Europe, Asia and Africa. Has always been a battleground for military strategists. It was ruled successively by Byzantine Empire and Turkish Empire. Since modern times, it has been coveted by Austria-Hungary, Russia, Germany, Britain and France, and has long been a place for great powers to compete. The ethnic relations in the territory are extremely complicated, and the Orthodox Church, Catholicism and Islam are intertwined and fighting endlessly here, causing many contradictions. The rise of Bulgaria, Serbia and Croatia has made the situation in the Balkans confusing and unpredictable.

At present, the world situation is ever-changing, and China is striding towards the world stage. It is of course important to be familiar with the rise and fall of big countries such as the United States, Russia and Japan. But everything can't be piled up, and the rise and fall of small countries can't be separated from our eyes. Although Kosovo declared independence, its final status is still uncertain; Karadzic is still on trial in The Hague, which shows that the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina is still lingering. Today, there are still many uncertain factors in the future of the Balkans, which deserve people's attention.

Based on abundant foreign language materials, The Balkan Centennial describes in detail the ups and downs experienced by the Balkan Peninsula in the 20th century, which not only touches on the internal evolution of Balkan countries, but also outlines the role played by this peninsula in the ever-changing world. From childhood to adulthood, we can see an important aspect of human social changes in the 20th century from an unknown Balkan peninsula.
