Osaka University of the Arts (ぉぉさかげぃじゅつだぃがく) is a private university located in Nammachi, Osaka, Japan. The school's predecessor was Ye Pingying School, which was established in 1945. It was renamed Osaka Art School on 1957 and Su Lang Art University on 1964. It was not until 1966 that the current school name was adopted. The school has 2 departments (Fine Arts Department, Communication Education Department), 3 directions (Modeling, Music, Art Design) and 55 majors in 15 Department. Universities regularly publish their own comic magazines and literary magazines, involving interviews with every student, professor and leader, which are concerned and favored by national media including Asahi Radio (ABC) and cultural radio. The school also has its own film festival, and many excellent student works have appeared in recent years.
