Zhejiang Media College is an institution of higher learning established by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province to train media talents such as radio, film and television. The college is located in Hangzhou, which is known as "paradise on earth". At present, the new and old campuses of the college are located in Xiasha Higher Education Park on the Qiantang River and the ancient Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. The new and old campus covers an area of 859 mu with a total construction area of 433,000 square meters, of which the new campus covers an area of 786 mu with a construction area of 403,000 square meters. At present, the college has eight secondary colleges and two teaching departments, including School of Journalism and Cultural Communication, School of Film and Television Art, School of Electronic Information, School of Animation, broadcasting and hosting College, School of Management, School of International Cultural Communication, Conservatory of Music, Ministry of Social Science and Ministry of Public Sports, and has set up 28 undergraduate majors, professional directions and some majors. The college currently has more than 8,800 full-time students.
The college is equipped with advanced teaching and experimental equipment, including more than 40 laboratories such as virtual studio, non-editing laboratory, audio-visual comprehensive laboratory and MIDI production laboratory. At present, the total value of teaching instruments and equipment with a unit price above 800 yuan is nearly 100 million yuan. The 22-story photo studio has been completed and used, with an investment of 65.438+0.3 billion yuan and a total construction area of more than 30,000 square meters. There are 654.38+0.200 square meters, 400 square meters, 300 square meters, 200 square meters and other 654.38+0.7 studios. It is a radio and television program production base integrating teaching, scientific research and social services.
