Urumqi vocational university, founded in 1985, is a comprehensive full-time general higher vocational college in Urumqi and the first higher vocational college established after the reform and opening up in Xinjiang. In 2007, with the approval of the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the former urumqi vocational university merged with Urumqi Adult Education College to form a new urumqi vocational university, and a city-based management system was implemented.

The college enrolls 3,000 to 4,000 students nationwide every year, and different talents enter different departments to ensure the good results of the school.
