Paris Polytechnic University (French:? Cole Institute of Technology (nicknamed "X") is a French engineering university founded in 1794, which belongs to the French Ministry of Defence. It is the top and most prestigious engineering university in France, enjoying a high reputation in the French higher education sector, ranking first among French universities all the year round, and is known as the peak of the French elite education model.
On June 20 19 19, the 2020QS World University Ranking was released, and the Paris Polytechnic University ranked 60th.
Speaking of its nickname, the title of "X" comes from its school emblem, representing two intersecting cannons, and it comes from the excellent mathematical tradition of the school. X is a symbol representing the unknown in mathematics. The school flag and motto were presented by Napoleon.
