Run Run Shaw Hospital is the first and only public hospital in China that has been certified by JCI International Hospital. In the development process of more than ten years, the hospital has been paying attention to the reform of traditional management mode, applying modern management theories and methods to manage the hospital scientifically, and exploring the "Run Run Run Shaw Hospital Model" which is in line with international standards, so that the hospital has achieved extraordinary sustained and rapid development. At the end of 2006, the hospital passed the evaluation of international authoritative hospital evaluation institutions, which indicated that the hospital had reached the international level in medical quality, safety and management.

Shaw Hospital was established in 1994. It is a modern, comprehensive and research-oriented third-class first-class hospital with domestic demonstration level, which is donated by Sir Run Run Run Shaw, a famous industrialist in Hong Kong, and supported by the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. It is located in the center of Hangzhou, covering an area of 100 mu. At present, the hospital has staff 1589 people, specialists with subtropical high or above 193 people, 978 beds, 32 clinical departments, 3 nursing units1person and 9 auxiliary departments. There are 9 teaching and research sections in the Third Department of Clinical Medicine in the teaching center of the hospital, which mainly undertake the teaching of seven-year undergraduate and graduate students in medical colleges. At present, * * * has 17 undergraduate classes, including 563 undergraduates and 103 postgraduates; Research institutions include Shao Yifu Clinical Research Institute of Zhejiang University, Institute of Minimally Invasive Medicine of Zhejiang University and Tumor Biotherapy Laboratory of Provincial Key Laboratory.
