The center was established in June, 2000. Since then, the exploration of work-study program in our school has begun. In 2002, in order to promote the standardization of the center's work, the school set up a work-study program group. With the joint efforts of teachers and students, the center has now grown from six departments to 10 departments, including four functional departments: administration department, propaganda department, comprehensive service department and tutor service department, and six operating departments: Three Gorges newsstand, student printing agency, digital space, Unicom service station, self-supporting water workshop and green renewable resources service station, with nearly 1000.
In 2007, the Ministry of Education led a number of central news organizations such as People's Daily, Guangming Daily, Xinhua News Agency and China Education Television to inspect the student financial assistance work in our school, and gave high praise and comprehensive reports on the active student financial assistance work and the solid work-study work, especially the establishment and development of the work-study practice base.
On the premise of strengthening financial input, enriching funds, expanding funding and diversifying funding methods, the student financial assistance work in our school also designs personalized funding schemes according to students' different development stages and difficulties. The development of the central work is the successful application of this funding concept. For the new members, we will establish a perfect training plan to improve their practical skills and strive to realize the commercial operation of various departments. Students start their own businesses, take responsibility for their own profits and losses, and all the operating income is returned to the work-study program fund for rolling use, so that more students with financial difficulties can benefit.
After continuous exploration and development, the center is preparing to build an entrepreneurial practice base. In 2008, the school established a 300-square-meter work-study practice base, which provided a practical training base and entrepreneurial platform for students from poor families, realized the trinity of work-study and moral education, professional practice and entrepreneurial practice, exercised students' organizational, management, social, expression and entrepreneurial abilities, provided training venues and laboratories for improving the employment competitiveness of college students, actively supported students' entrepreneurial practice and absorbed students' participation. At present, the six business departments of the center have realized the macro guidance of the school and the independent management of students. Through the cooperation with external merchants, the students of the center not only learned the advanced management concept of the company, but also broadened the cooperation channels between the center and external merchants. Let more students who are interested in starting a business feel more business atmosphere, appreciate the business situation and enhance their entrepreneurial ability. The center has established cooperative relations with Chongqing Shangda Computer, China Unicom Chongqing Branch, New Oriental Education Group, Chongqing Green Renewable Resources Network Recycling Co., Ltd. and many other enterprises and institutions ... In the future, the center will continue to strengthen cooperation with enterprises, better build entrepreneurial practice bases, improve students' practical skills, improve the hematopoietic function of the center, and provide more jobs and practice platforms for more students with financial difficulties.
