Lishui university University, located in Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, sponsored by Lishui Municipal People's Government, is the highest institution in Lishui City and the only undergraduate institution. Its school-running history can be traced back to Chuzhou Normal School in 1907. In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Lishui Teachers College and Lishui Vocational and Technical College merged and renamed as lishui university, which is a public full-time undergraduate college in Zhejiang Province.
Led by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Ningbo University, Zhejiang A&F University and Hangzhou Normal University participated in helping lishui university.
